Our Story
Nestled along the scenic banks of the Potomac River in Maryland, National Harbor began as a bold vision in the early 2000s to create a vibrant waterfront community just outside Washington, D.C. Prior to its development, the site was largely undeveloped industrial and warehouse land. The goal was to transform it into a mixed-use destination that combined residential, retail, dining, entertainment, and hospitality in a walkable, waterfront setting.
Since opening in 2008, National Harbor has grown into a thriving community and regional attraction, featuring luxury hotels, high-end condominiums, modern townhomes, and a dynamic harborfront filled with shops, restaurants, and entertainment venues. Over the years, it has become known not only for its picturesque waterfront views but also for hosting cultural events, festivals, and signature experiences that draw visitors and residents alike, creating a unique blend of community and destination living.
